She grew up in Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, and has worked in the legal field, including service at some of Pittsburgh's largest firms, since 1999. She has a Paralegal/Associate of Science degree from the Community College of Allegheny County and is an active member of the Pittsburgh Legal Administrators Association.
